  • Two insiders revealed Facebook has allegedly been testing an algorithm on its users that demoted, buried, and hid comments, describing “potentially or actually true” events or facts. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has criticised company employees who expose the social media giant’s “alleged” censorship programme. Ironically, he made the remarks during a video chat, later leaked by a Facebook insider. The video was subsequently posted online by a non-profit investigative media outlet, Project Veritas.

  • Canadian doctors have been stumped by an unknown neurological disease that has affected residents of a small province. The ailment has been described by one neurologist as a medical “whodunit”, which occurs a couple of times per century. The first known case of the disease was reported in 2015, but news of it became public just recently, when a memo written about it by New Brunswick’s chief medical doctor was leaked to the press in March. The mysterious ailment has various symptoms: insomnia, impaired motor function, visual disorders, and hallucinations – including visions of the dead. At least 48 people are known to have suffered from the disease, which has the bizarre working name Neurological Syndrome of Unknown Etiology (NSUE) in New Brunswick.

  • The head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, has come u with harsh criticism against tech billionaire and owner of SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk. Rogozin said that Musk’s plans to set up regular flights from Earth to Mars were nothing more than “fairy tales”. “People like it. It’s a ‘Wow’ effect. But in reality, it’s nothing more than a fortunate stunt. There are quite a lot of those people who are telling such fairy tales”. Elon Musk outlined his plan to build a city on Mars “in our lifetimes” in 2016. According to the tech billionaire’s vision, the first rocket should propel humans to the Red Planet by 2025.

  • The government in Abuja announced on Friday it had “indefinitely suspended” the US-based platform, following Twitter’s censorship of Buhari. The move was made because of “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence,” said Information Minister Lai Mohammed. Nigeria’s TV and press regulator, the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), will also start the process of “licensing” all social media platforms in the country, the government said. In a twist of irony, the decision was announced on Twitter. Also, the ban doesn’t appear to have gone into effect just yet, and Nigerians are reportedly flocking to virtual private networks to circumvent it.

  • To join the army, recruits have to show high skills, discipline… and spiritual energy. Well, now we can see that the stars on the American flag are not just there to represent states, but to also guide people based on their Zodiac sign. The US Army has baffled netizens again, right on the heels of the infamous “woke” recruitment video, with an Instagram story that suggests different specialities for various Zodiac signs. “Wondering what your zodiac sign says about the kind of soldier you could be in the army? You’ll just have to click through our Instagram story to find the answer because our lips are sealed over here”, the post said, presenting several slides listing the assignments best-matched for “spiritual” recruits.

  • Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry on Friday demanded a thorough probe into an incident involving the arrest of seven people in India for trying to sell around six kilos of uranium, as it slammed New Delhi’s “lax regulatory mechanism”. “Pakistan reiterates its call for a thorough investigation into such incidents and measures for strengthening the security of nuclear materials to prevent their diversion”, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said at the weekly press briefing.

  • In 1999, India approved a 30-year submarine construction plan for 24 conventional subs. Now, the Indian Defence Ministry has revised its plans in light of the increasing presence of the Chinese Navy in the Indian Ocean Region. India’s Defence Acquisition Council has cleared a 22-year-old proposal to construct six diesel-electric submarines with air-independent propulsion technology at a cost of around $7 billion. Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that with this approval, the country will be able to accomplish its 30-year submarine construction programme and acquire national competence in building such vessels. Indian Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh has admitted the growing strength of China’s People’s Liberation Army Navy in the Indian Ocean Region and said that New Delhi is keeping a close eye on the increased Chinese naval presence in the area.

  • The Danish parliament has approved the building of an artificial island off the capital of Copenhagen on which homes for 35,000 are planned to be built. Environmentalists oppose the scheme and have taken their case to the European Court of Justice. Work on the one-square-mile Lynetteholm project can now begin later this year, with land-reclamation expected to be mostly finished by 2035, and the housing developments completed by 2070.

  • A group of activists led by UN Special Rapporteur on Torture Nils Melzer and Geneva Mayor Frederique Perler have called for the release of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and erected a temporary monument to three famous American whistleblowers ahead of the Russia-US summit in the Swiss city, a Sputnik corespondent reported. The group aims to draw Joe Biden’s attention to their demands when he arrives in Geneva for his meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on 16 June. The makeshift monument “AnythingToSay” is a tribute not only to Assange but also Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden.

  • “The European Commission has opened a formal antitrust investigation to assess whether Facebook violated EU competition rules by using advertising data gathered in particular from advertisers in order to compete with them in markets where Facebook is active such as classified ads. The formal investigation will also assess whether Facebook ties its online classified ads service ‘Facebook Marketplace’ to its social network, in breach of EU competition rules”, the commission said in a press release.

  • Norwegian waters and airspace are increasingly being visited by Western intelligence, national broadcaster NRK has reported, describing it as a new trend. For instance, the German reconnaissance vessel Alster left the Hammerfest harbour earlier this week and has since been fully visible on a public sea radar. Earlier this spring, a British intelligence plane flew in international airspace up to the Russian border. Two months later, a US nuclear submarine arrived at the Arctic port of Tromsø. Andreas Østhagen, a senior researcher at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute and the High North Centre, argued that this activity is part of a greater emphasis on the Arctic.

  • After having his asylum application in Sweden rejected, a Moroccan man has released a film where he burns a copy of the Quran, Islam’s holy book, in protest. The man came to Sweden from Morocco two years ago on a tourist visa and sought asylum, citing persecution in his home country due to his “religious doubts”. The Swedish Migration Agency, however, rejected his asylum application. The decision was appealed, but the Migration Court of Appeal backed up the authority’s line, ruling that it was “reasonable” to demand his return to Morocco as well as expect that he “keeps a low profile and restrains himself in his criticism of Islam and the monarchy in order to avoid provoking actions against him by individuals and authorities”. In response, the man recorded a video of himself burning a copy of the Quran in a barbecue area and uploaded it on YouTube under the handle Skeptic Mohamed.

  • Senator Ivan Moreira of the Independent Democratic Union and one of the oldest leaders in the coalition Chile Vamos, said at the press conference that “the president has prioritised gay marriage to promote the agenda on the left, but does not make any relevant announcements for the middle class”. The same-sex marriage project was presented to the National Congress by Michelle Bachelet (Chilean president from 2006-2010 and 2014-2018) in 2017 but has gone nowhere since. After Pinera’s announcement, parliamentarians will be obliged to prioritise a discussion on the bill.

  • Microsoft has found itself in a situation where it had to explain why the famous photograph of an unidentified man standing in front of a column of tanks passing through Beijing’s Tiananmen Square after student protests, was blocked by the software giant’s search engine. Users around the world on Friday, including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Singapore, reported that their attempts to search for the photo on Bing returned: “There are no results for tank man”.

  • North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un has been seen in public for the first time since disappearing for almost a month, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported. According to the outlet, he attended the first meeting of the political bureau of the governing party. KCNA writes that Kim Jong-un analysed “the execution of major policy tasks in different fields for the first half of the year”. The leader stressed the importance of a state campaign to improve the economy and people’s living. According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, prior to the meeting, Kim Jong-un was last seen in public on 6 May, when he posed for a photograph with North Korean servicemen and their families. The outlet writes that this period of absence was the longest in 2021.

  • Ambergris Caye, Belize – The strange circumstances surrounding the fatal late-night shooting of a police superintendent, allegedly by the daughter-in-law of a UK billionaire with whom he was ‘watching the moon’, have caught the imagination of people across the world. Canadian businesswoman Jasmine Hartin’s arrest over the death of police superintendent Henry Jemmott, it was not a case of ‘but that sorta thing never happens there’. And even once the facts began to emerge – that the 38-year-old was the partner of megabucks Tory party donor Lord Ashcroft’s youngest son, Andrew, that she and the superintendent, 42, were enjoying the moonlight alone together on a dock at 1am after an evening of drinking together, that she was giving him a shoulder rub and accidentally shot him in the head with his own gun, that the dead man fell on her and so she pushed his body into the water – it was still not that surprising.

Angels Really Do Walk Among Us

From Neioh 6/4/18 – He looks like a regular guy, but he isn’t. This is an example of how “Angels” can manifest and walk among us. This was spontaneous but the effect it would have would have been known. He is from ATLAS. His name is MINOEE. He was surveying this area and became concerned in what he saw. He left after the incident and was never seen again. He is an Elder and now with the Galactic Forces. Very Honored.
