  • Amid large-scale cancellations of flights at Beijing airport and massive military build-up in Beijing, rumours about a coup in China are going around for the last few days. It has been claimed by many that President Xi Jinping has been removed from the post, and that he has been put under house arrest by PLA. However, nothing has been confirmed till now, and probably the rumours are not true. In the last few days, several Chinese social media handles had claimed that Xi Jinping has been stripped of his military powers and is under house arrest. It was claimed that the ‘coup’ took place when the Chinese premier was in Samarkand in Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit. According to the rumours, when Jinping was in Samarkand, his distractors in the party convinced the party’s top leadership to remove Jinping from the leadership of the army.

  • Fans watching Stefanos Tsitsipas’ match with rival Diego Schwartzman at the Laver Cup in London on Friday were stunned when a protester interrupted proceedings and sat down on the court, where he briefly set his right arm on fire. The protester was then swiftly removed from the court by security. He was wearing a T-shirt which read ’End UK private jets’. It is unclear as to why he chose the Laver Cup as the venue for his protest.

  • Multiple branches of the US military have bought access to “petabytes” of American citizens’ private online data via a tool called Augury, giving them access to an almost omniscient set of data points, Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) claimed in a letter to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) on Wednesday. The alleged data trove includes an individual’s email communications, browsing history, and other behavioral information, all on demand and without a warrant. The senator asked the OIG to investigate the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department’s purchase and use of any such records. He cited a report his office received from a military whistleblower regarding the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) buying and using netflow data from data broker Team Cymru. Netflow data includes proprietary information normally available only to internet service providers, and is likely being provided without the informed consent of those providers – let alone judicial authorization.

  • The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has said previous “non-conformities” concerning the Ukrainian anti-doping system would be “provisionally excused” because of the circumstances of the conflict with Russia. WADA announced in October of last year that an extensive investigation into operations at the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADC) had found irregularities concerning testing. As part of the case, WADA’s Compliance Review Committee (CRC) initiated a procedure against the NADC in an effort to bring standards into line. “The ExCo decided to provisionally excuse the previously communicated non-conformities of the National Anti-Doping Center of Ukraine (NADC) for reasons of force majeure,” read a statement.

  • American progressives are having a full-blown conniption fit this week after Florida airlifted illegal migrants to an island off the coast of Massachusetts. The response from the left was every bit as hysterical as it was predictable. This week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis officially usurped Donald Trump as America’s reigning troll king by dumping dozens of illegal migrants into Martha’s Vineyard, an affluent island off the coast of Massachusetts where wealthy liberals spend their holidays, sipping wine and cracking oysters, far from the maddening MAGA crowd. “It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” DeSantis’ office said in a statement. US liberals love illegal aliens, just not in their own posh neighborhoods.

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin was pushed to launch the military campaign in Ukraine by his supporters and wanted to replace the government in Kiev with “decent people,” former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said on Thursday. Speaking on Italian public broadcaster RAI, Berlusconi speculated on what prompted the Russian leadership to proceed with the military operation in Ukraine in late February. Berlusconi believes Moscow had initially planned to take control of Kiev “in a week,” replace Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his government with “decent people,” and leave the capital “in another week.” He also said he does not understand why Russian troops are now “spread around Ukraine” when they “should have only stuck around Kiev.”

  • Polish teachers have been asked to hand out iodine anti-radiation pills to students in case of emergency. Local officials say they are preparing for a potential nuclear incident, adding though that such a scenario is rather unlikely. Poland and Ukraine share a border. The Polish Interior Ministry said on Monday that potassium iodide pills were sent to regional fire departments after “media reports of fighting near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant” in southern Ukraine.

  • Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has said that his conservative government could look forward to the “best ever political relationship” with the US if Donald Trump is re-elected in 2024. “We work together with those who are elected here in the US,” Szijjarto told Fox News on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday. Former President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban have opposed mass immigration and positioned themselves as opponents of liberalism and globalism – and both received backlash from NGOs and the media for these views, with the EU also threatening to cut off funding to Hungary.

  • US media warned this week that the nation iss “running on empty” and risks calamity as the Strategic Petroleum Reserve – a crude oil stockpile meant for use in energy emergencies – continue to be drained. To date, the Biden administration has withdrawn about 200Mln barrels of oil (more than 30 percent) of the stockpile. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) tends to grow during Republican administrations and fall under Democratic ones, and the energy independence strategy pursued by recent administrations, including Donald Trump’s, may help shield the country from an energy catastrophe even as the Biden White House continues to eat away at the reserve supply, veteran energy expert Robert Rapier believes.

  • A Democratic Republic of the Congo wildlife protection group has vowed not to rest until the perpetrators responsible for the kidnapping of three baby chimpanzees earlier this month face prosecution. “It’s so sad to announce that 2 of the 3 kidnapped baby chimps at [the Young Animals Confiscated in Katanga sanctuary, French abbreviation JACK] were initially rescued by team @ConservC in Kinshasa. This is a setback in our work and no stone shall be left unturned until culprits are prosecuted!” ConservCongo founder Adams Cassinga tweeted Saturday.

  • Laughter may be the tool that nature gave to mankind to help it survive while traveling along the evolutionary path, claims a new study. This feature of human behavior that precedes language development (infants as young as three months old are able to laugh) provides a host of physiological, psychological, social and economic benefits. Humor has always been a way of helping people to cope with stress and anxiety, boosting positive emotions while mitigating the “perceived intensity of negative life events”. The research sifted various existing theories to find out what makes something funny enough to make people laugh. Carlo Valerio Bellieni, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Siena in Italy, analyzed more than 150 papers that identified various important aspects of the conditions that make humans laugh. According to the study, ‘Laughter: A signal of ceased alarm toward a perceived incongruity between life and stiffness’, laughter was possibly preserved by natural selection over the millennia to help humans survive.

The Dinosaurs Wish They’d Thought Of This

NASA on Monday will attempt a feat humanity has never before accomplished: deliberately smacking a spacecraft into an asteroid to slightly deflect its orbit, in a key test of our ability to stop cosmic objects from devastating life on Earth. The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spaceship launched from California last November and is fast approaching its target, which it will strike at roughly 14,000 miles per hour (23,000 kph). To be sure, neither the asteroid moonlet Dimorphos, nor the big brother it orbits, called Didymos, pose any threat as the pair loop the Sun, passing some seven million miles from Earth at nearest approach.

Large Hadron Collider

The Large Hadron Collider exists to open portals that allow negative entities to enter from other dimensions. This is real spiritual warfare. It sounds like sci-fi because hidden truth is always being projected from the collective consciousness into our fictional entertainment. ~ Kabamur
