  • [WTF!?!] Partially defatted and powdered house crickets will officially be able to find their way to EU citizens’ tables starting on January 24. This comes thanks to a European Commission ruling passed earlier this month. As per the decision, which cited the scientific opinion of the European Food Safety Authority, the additive is safe to use in a whole range of products, including but not limited to cereal bars, biscuits, pizza, pasta-based products, and whey powder. Back in August 2021, the European Food Safety Authority concluded that “frozen and dried formulations from whole house crickets” are “safe under the proposed uses and use levels.” The officials noted, however, that the insects may trigger allergic reactions in some consumers.

  • Yuval Noah Harari, Klaus Schwab’s lead advisor at the Word Economic Forum, has announced that human beings are no better than “viruses or bananas” and the WEF has now reached the point where they can “hack humanity.” According to Harari, the idea that humans have free will is over, and for those who oppose, there will be no escaping what Harari refers to as the “Secret Police.”

  • Some researchers have called them the ” Russian Pyramids “, and although official reports indicate they are just mountains, there are strong indications that they are man-made structures. These possible pyramids are not only huge, but they would be much older than those in Egypt. The sacred mountains in Russia were called Da-nai-shan and Er-naishan , but their hypothetical builders are an enigma of history. They were sacred sites for ancient settlements in Eastern Siberia, and pilgrims from China and Korea performed rituals on their slopes. Its sides face north, south, east and west… just like the Great Pyramids of Egypt. Da-nai-shan and Er-naishan are now called Sestra (Sister) and Brat (Brother). They are located in the valley of the Partizanskaya River . Its closest cities are Vladivostok , Sestra and Nakhodka.

  • A butcher died while trying to slaughter a pig. Police say the incident happened at the Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse at around 1pm, when the 61-year-old butcher was about to kill a pig he had already knocked out with an electric stun gun. But the pig regained consciousness and put up a struggle, during which the man fell to the ground. The Labour Department said it was investigating the accident.

  • Edwin Wagensveld, head of the anti-Islam group Pegida, tore up a copy of the Koran in front of the House of Representatives of the Netherlands on Sunday in The Hague, echoing a recent stunt outside the Turkish embassy in Sweden that outraged the majority-Muslim nation. Wagensveld, who has been arrested for similar demonstrations in the past, avoided arrest this time by cooperating with a police instruction not to actually burn the Muslim holy book as he had planned to do. He also stomped on a second Koran and the torn pages from the first.

  • The US military is probing nine blood cancer cases among officers who worked decades ago at Malmstrom Air Force Base, a major nuclear missile site in the state of Montana. The investigation was first reported by AP on Monday and confirmed by Pentagon officials. All of the afflicted officers had been serving at the silos of the base, home to some 150 Minuteman III nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles, as many as 25 years ago. The diagnosis in each case was non-Hodgkin lymphoma, while one of the officers has succumbed to the illness. “There are indications of a possible association between [this] cancer and missile combat crew service at Malmstrom AFB,” Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Sebeck said in the slides presented at a military briefing earlier in January and cited by the news agency.

  • The BBC may soon launch an internal investigation into the hiring process for its current chairman, Richard Sharp. A report by the Times has suggested the former banker got the job from offering financial advice to former Prime Minister Boris Johnson. “Our work at the BBC is rooted in trust. Although the appointment of the BBC chairman is solely a matter for the government…I want to ensure that all the appropriate guidelines have been followed within the BBC since I have joined,” Sharp was quoted as saying by Sky News on Monday.

  • The World Economic Forum has lost its luster as the policies peddled by its attendees spark increased skepticism among average citizens. Forum founder Klaus Schwab, the de facto frontman of the organization, has cranked out one distasteful hit after another in recent years. He has spoken of how the organization “penetrates the cabinets” of governments in its recruitment efforts. He coined the term “The Great Reset,” about which he published a book just a few months into the Covid-19 pandemic in July 2020, advocating that the pandemic be used as inspiration to “reimagine our world” at a time when much of the globe was locked down on orders of their governments – many members of which were Davos regulars. There was little appetite to turn lockdowns into a permanent lifestyle change, but here was Klaus promoting the benefits of burying the old life – all under the pretext of an event that the WEF had already wargamed in October 2019 in New York, just ahead of the crisis, in an exercise called “Event 201.” “The exercise will bring together business, government, security and public health leaders to address a hypothetical global pandemic scenario,” the WEF announced at the time. It’s all just a bit too creepy.

  • US Customs and Border Protection officials have warned Americans against trying to smuggle raw eggs or poultry over the border from Mexico, citing risks of disease, as skyrocketing supermarket prices drive normally law-abiding citizens to take extreme measures. Raw egg seizures along the Mexican border jumped 108% for the last quarter of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, CBP Supervisory Agriculture Specialist Charles Payne told El Paso NBC affiliate KTSM on Wednesday. During that same three-month period in 2022, the average cost of a dozen eggs in the US soared from $3.50 to $5.30. Across the border in Juarez, a customer can get 30 eggs for $3.40, the NBC affiliate reports.

  • Nobel prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz has called for world leaders to impose a tax rate of 70% on their wealthiest citizens, and to take a cut of inherited fortunes. Stiglitz claimed that most of the planet’s billionaires are rich simply “out of luck.” Stiglitz, the former chief economist of the World Bank, won the Nobel Prize in economics in 2001 for his contribution to the theory of information asymmetry, or how people make decisions when one party is less informed than the other.

  • Ghislaine Maxwell, the former British socialite convicted of trafficking underage girls for notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has claimed that a photo purporting to show Prince Andrew with his young sexual-assault accuser, Virginia Giuffre, is fake. “I have no memory of them meeting, and I don’t think the picture is real,” Maxwell said in a jailhouse interview with British broadcaster Jeremy Kyle. “It’s a fake. I don’t believe it’s real for a second. In fact, I’m sure it’s not.” Excerpts from the interview, which show Maxwell talking by telephone from a federal prison in Florida, were released this weekend. The UK’s TalkTV is scheduled to air the full interview on Monday. Maxwell added that she’s only seen photocopies of the infamous image, which appears to show Prince Andrew with his arm around the bare midriff of Giuffre, then 17, and Maxwell smiling in the background.

  • TON 618’s features are so exaggerated that scientists find it hard to believe it exists. It is no longer just the object itself, but all the effects it causes around it. TON 618 is an ultramassive black hole whose mass is equivalent to that of 66,000 million suns. It’s 18 billion light-years away, but the accretion disk spinning around it shines so brightly (as bright as a hundred trillion stars) that we can see it from Earth. There is a whole galaxy around it, but TON 618 is too bright to see. Therefore, we are looking at a version of TON 618 from 18,000 10,000 million years ago. And considering that we are talking about a black hole, today TON 618 may be much, much bigger than what we are seeing in our sky. But even the measurements of TON 618 from the remote past are impressive. The radius of the black hole itself from its event horizon is 207 billion km. It is so large that we could fit eleven solar systems like ours, side by side, within it. Another way of trying to mentally encompass the disproportionate size of TON 618 is the one discussed in Kurzgesagt: a particle of light that was trapped in the event horizon would take a week to reach the infinitesimal singularity of the center. All these data also allow us to know that TON 618 formed when the universe was very young, “only” 3.4 billion years after the Big Bang. Since then it has been absorbing matter, trapping it in its gravitational field, and it won’t stop doing so until there is literally nothing left to absorb.

The photographs were taken in 1912 in Antartica by Captain Robert Scott and his crew. However, the photos were classified as soon as they returned to their base and reported the results. Scott and his crew were then reported missing. Since then, it has been a restricted area, with only a few governments around the world allowed to conduct limited research.
