News Burst 20 September 2020 - Rama X

Maha Vajiralongkorn

The king of Thailand has pardoned his concubine after throwing her in jail last year and had her flown to Germany to join his Alpine harem.
Maha Vajiralongkorn – Rama X, 68, has spent much of the pandemic in Germany with a reputed entourage assembled as a military unit at a four-star hotel.
According to Bild, the king had reportedly stripped his former concubine her of her titles and government ranks and imprisoned her, amid allegations about her β€œdisloyalty” and alleged ambitions to be queen. Her actions showed ‘she does not give any honour to the king and does not understand royal tradition… her actions are to benefit herself’, a statement claimed.
Koi has apparently been in prison since then, although her exact whereabouts were unclear. She was in the Bang Kwang maximum-security prison where inmates including drug dealers are constantly monitored with webcams. The prison is said to include around 1,000 people on death row, and was the venue where Thailand carried out its first execution for nearly a decade in 2018. Now, the king is thought to have granted her a royal reprieve – and went to Munich Airport himself to pick her up.

News Burst 20 September 2020 - Nudist Beach

Fairlight Glen Naturist Beach

A boat full of migrants were in for a surprise when their dinghy landed at a nudist beach on the coast of Sussex in the south of England. The newcomers were helped ashore by stark naked sunbathers who offered them hot drinks.
The bizarre incident happened at the Fairlight Glen Naturist Beach on last Monday. Around 80 nudists were interrupted while soaking up the sun, as an inflatable boat with about ten men and one woman was spotted heading for the shore. One sunbather even swam out to the group to check if they were okay.
The group quickly abandoned their vessel, however, and headed off into nearby woods. Police later confirmed they had been located and detained.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people make up approximately 28% of the total prison population in Australian prisons, despite making up only 2% of the total adult population in Australia. A story of marginalization and abuse, how can such a problem be solved with “Defund the Police”? Is like if you have a leg chopped and you try to solve it with a pain killer…

Hong Kong Bay

Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins, a rare species that can be pink or white, have been spotted returning to waters in Thailand sea and Hong Kong bay where their numbers have declined in recent years.
Due to the pandemic and humans quarantining, the dolphins have returned, finding that they now have the waterways largely to themselves.
Animals appear to be reclaiming the earth β€” and that includes some pink dolphins returning to the waters between Hong Kong and Macau. The decline of these appealing marine mammals is largely attributed to water pollution and the habitat loss that has come with expanded development in and along the harbor.

NASA has today confirmed, for the first time, that there is water on the sunlit surface of the moon. The revelation means it is possible water is easily accessible and not just in the deep, permanently shadowed craters of the south pole, as was previously thought. A separate piece of research found these so-called ‘cold traps’, which are always in shadow, may contain up to 15,000 square miles – 40,000 square km – of water.
