  • Elon Musk has managed to make another cryptocurrency surge in price with his tweet, although it wasn’t necessarily what he’d intended. In a response to a question posed by Changpeng Zhao, the founder and CEO of Binance cryptocurrency exchange, the tech mogul said that if he set up his own cryptocurrency, there will β€œdefinitely be a MarsCoin”. The multi-billionaire, however, seemed to be unaware that there is already a MarsCoin cryptocurrency in existence, set up by its creators in 2014 as a β€œpublic funding model for space colonisation”.

  • Thai Queen Suthida, wife of King Maha Vajiralongkorn, was finally spotted in public after months of absence and speculations about her whereabouts, the Daily Star reports, following a β€œnude” scandal that saw over a thousand of private photos of second royal consort Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi being leaked online. Queen Suthida has now reportedly re-emerged in public, as she was photographed alongside her King husband during a Chinese New Year celebration last week, the Daily Star claims.

  • Egypt plans to build its first high-speed train line, which would connect the Red Sea to the Mediterranean. The route would stretch approximately 1,000 km (621 miles) and it is planned to have fifteen stops along the way. The first line is planned to run 460 km (approximately 285 miles) from Ain Sokhna on the Gulf of Suez in the east. The line will go on to El Alamein on the Mediterranean coast. The second leg of the railway would link the Red Sea’s main port with Alexandria and the port of Matrouh Gargoub, the third would connect Hurghada and Safaga with Qena and Luxor, and the fourth would connect Six October city with Luxor and Aswan. Each line is planned to be implemented within two years; the first one is scheduled to be completed in 2023 and would cost around $3 bln.

  • Facebook has acted in a “wrong” and “heavy-handed” way by barring Australian media and the government from sharing news on its platform in response to a proposed law forcing the tech giant to share revenue with outlets, Australian Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said on Thursday. Facebook removed posts of Australian news outlets and government pages, including those belonging to the meteorology bureau, the pandemic response, mental health and emergency services. It came after the social network giant failed to sway Canberra over the proposed media bargaining law, which passed the lower house on 17 February. Google and Facebook have lobbied against the law, calling it unworkable and claiming it addresses the incorrect source of the news media outlets’ hardships.

  • Senegal on Wednesday night received the first batch of China’s Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines. Senegalese President Macky Sall, First Lady Marieme Faye Sall, senior government officials, Chinese Ambassador to Senegal Xiao Han and representatives of the World Health Organization also attended the delivery ceremony at Blaise Diagne International Airport. Speaking at the ceremony, President Sall first expressed his “sincere thanks” to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for the acquisition of these doses of vaccine.

  • Three climbers who went missing earlier this month while attempting to scale the world’s second-highest mountain, K2, should now be considered dead, Pakistani officials said on Thursday. K2 had never been scaled in winter until only last month, when a Nepalese team reached the peak. The three climbers β€” famous Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara as well as Jon Snorri of Iceland and Juan Pablo Mohr of Chile β€” lost contact with their base camp while attempting their ascent of the 8,611-metre (28,250-foot) high K2.

  • Gunmen attacked a school in Nigeria’s north-central Niger State early Wednesday, killing at least one student and abducting more than 40 people including students and teachers, according to officials.

  • What if our world, our universe, is the result of a quantum-physics experiment performed by some ancient hyper-advanced alien civilization. A civilization that, as astrophysicist Paul Davies speculates, may exist beyond matter. In The Eerie Silence: Renewing Our Search for Alien Intelligence Davies writes: β€œThinking about advanced alien life requires us to abandon all our presuppositions about the nature of life, mind, civilization, technology and community destiny. In short, it means thinking the unthinkable. Five hundred years ago the very concept of a device manipulating information, or software, would have been incomprehensible. Might there be a still higher level, as yet outside all human experience?”

  • Japanese school dress codes prohibit students from dying their hair. Though the vast majority of ethnically Japanese people, who make up the vast majority of students at schools in Japan, have naturally black hair, some Japanese people’s hair is instead a dark brown. That was the case for a teen attending Kaifukan Prefectural High School in the town of Habikino, Osaka Prefecture. The girl enrolled in 2015, and was repeatedly told that she had to dye her brown hair black. The girl insisted that brown was her natural hair color. The girl claims she was told β€œIf you’re not going to dye your hair black [i.e. back to black, in the school’s opinion], then there’s no need for you to come to school.” Feeling pressured and distressed, the girl did indeed stop attending classes, and the school then removed her name from her class seating chart and student roster. But instead of seeing the school’s administrators on campus, the young woman decided to see them in court, and in 2017 filed a lawsuit over the incident, asking for 2.2 million yen in compensation. On Tuesday an Osaka district court handed down its ruling. The court also ruled that the administration’s actions after the girl stopped coming to class, such as removing her name from the roster and removing her desk from the classroom, were unacceptable, and has ordered Osaka Prefecture pay damages of 330,000 yen to the woman.

News Burst 19 February 2021 - Ghulam Tuniyaz

Jiayi Nagute Village, China

Ghulam Tuniyaz and his family attended a training program organized by the township authority, where they learned the proper way to feed donkeys, and it was also until then that he came to understand the fortune that was literally “hidden” in them. Tuniyaz, together with his son Memet and some of his impoverished neighbors, started a cooperative specialized in donkey breeding, and donkey milk thus became a leading source of its income.

“Russian interference” with any defense is now being dismissed by DOJ because prosecutors knew they couldn’t win at trial. Repeat: the DOJ could not find a single case they could successfully prosecute to prove any act of “Russian interference.”

It’s safe to say the new crisis just killed the Schengen Treaty. That ridiculous document which guaranteed freedom of movement across the European Union finally hit something it couldn’t bully, COVID-19. The lockdown of Italy isn’t a temporary thing. Oh, the suspension of free movement is temporary, but it portends something far bigger.

The Great Awakening (‘Freedom of Thought’), was designed and created not only as a BACKCHANNEL to the public (away from the longstanding β€˜mind’ control of the corrupt & heavily biased media) to endure future events through transparency and regeneration of individual thought (breaking the chains of β€˜group-think’), but, more importantly, aid in the construction of a vehicle ( A ‘SHIP’ ) that provides the scattered (β€˜free thinkers’) with a β€˜starter’ new social-networking platform which allows for freedom of thought, expression, and patriotism or national pride (the feeling of love, devotion and sense of attachment to a homeland and alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment). – Q
