  • Over a dozen MGM Hotels & Casino properties have halted their backend computer systems due to an ongoing and severe cyberattack initially reported on Sunday. A cybersecurity expert warned that the breach might be significantly worse than current reports suggest. MGM Resorts International isn’t the only Vegas casino dealing with cyberattacks. People familiar with the matter said that Caesars Entertainment Inc. is about to reveal in a regulatory filing it was the victim of a cyberattack on Aug. 27. The disclosure of the alleged Caesars breach comes four days after MGM Resorts International has been plagued with a cyberattack since Sunday, shutting down critical computer systems responsible for operations at more than a dozen properties. According to the people, Caesars and MGM were hit by the same hacking group, known as Scattered Spider or UNC 3944. As of Thursday morning, MGM websites remain inaccessible. Ransoms are usually paid in cryptocurrency. Around the Ceasers hack, there was an 8% spike in Bitcoin. Since the MGM cyber issue, BTC jumped 6%. The people said the hacking group comprises of young adults (“some as young as 19 years old”) across the US and the UK. We would’ve thought by now corporate media and the Biden administration would’ve blamed Moscow hackers.

  • White House lawyers have reportedly written a letter directing CNN, the New York Times and other US media outlets to scrutinize Republican lawmakers more aggressively as they try to impeach US President Joe Biden. CNN and other recipients of the letter acknowledged getting the missive on Wednesday. “It’s time for the media to ramp up its scrutiny of House Republicans for opening an impeachment inquiry based on lies,” Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House Counsel’s Office, wrote in the letter. He added that the impeachment efforts should “set off alarm bells for news organizations.” US House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) launched the impeachment effort on Tuesday, directing committees of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to open a formal inquiry. He said allegations of influence-peddling and solicitation of bribes by the Biden family “paint a picture of a culture of corruption.”

  • In a tradition that dates back to the year 690, the Ise Jingu shrine in Japan is completely dismantled and rebuilt every 20 years as part of the Shinto belief of death and renewal of nature. The Ise Jingu shrine is the most famous and most sacred of the Shinto religion in Japan. There are around 120 shrines that make up the Ise Jingu complex, and the main ones are the Naiku, or inner shrine, and the Geku, the outer shrine. The sun goddess Amaterasu O-mikami is said to be enshrined in the inner shrine, the Naiku, which is why the shrine was built. The imperial family is even said to be descended from Amaterasu O-makami. Ise Jingu was built in the 5th century but never stays in place for more than 20 years. Before the shrine is dismantled, it is rebuilt in an adjacent area near the previous shrine. The process represents rebirth and renewal, and the spirits of the imperial family’s ancestors and Amaterasu O-makami are moved in a special ceremony to the newly rebuilt inner shrine. It’s believed this renews the power of the spirits. After they are moved, the old shrine is deconstructed and demolished. The process of rebuilding has been completed 62 times with the latest in 2013.

  • Depleted uranium – such as British L26A1 shells for the 120-mm L30 cannon of the Challenger-2 tank – had already been delivered to Ukraine. However, according to reports, most of it was destroyed in the course of a Russian strike on an armament depot in Khmelnytsky in May 2023. However, since the shells used for the British cannon are incompatible with those needed for the 120-mm M256 gun installed on US tanks – starting with the M1A1 model (a developed version of the German Rh-120) – the Americans will have to send their own ammunition to Ukraine. This will most likely be M829A3 or A4 shells. NATO assistance, in its current form, makes it possible for Ukraine to fight – since, without supplies, the fighting capability of the army would’ve been exhausted and the war would have already ended. But whether the aid is truly effective is another question. ~ Ilya Kramnik

  • The High Court of Australia on Wednesday ruled that the country’s flag carrier airline, Qantas, broke the law by firing 1,700 ground staff and replacing them with contractors early during the Covid-19 pandemic. According to media reports, the court said that the company had commercial reasons for its actions at the time but acted in a breach of industrial law because it “sought to thwart” the unionized employees’ rights to engage in industrial action and collective bargaining. “These workers have been put through hell. Their families have been put through hell, their lives have been dislocated, some of them forever,” Michael Kaine, secretary of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), which brought the lawsuit, told journalists in the light of the ruling.

  • The September 2010 exchange of emails, first reported by Fox News on Wednesday, started with Hunter Biden suggesting to his father that Obama had stolen his words in a speech the previous day at a union event in Wisconsin. After citing some of the lines from Obama’s speech, Hunter Biden said, “I’m surprised he didn’t finish with the long walk up a short flight of stairs,” alluding to phrasing that Joe Biden used while campaigning unsuccessfully for president in 2008. “Pretty amazing.” The message was sent to Joe Biden’s personal email address, which was reportedly one of many that he used to communicate with family members. The then-VP responded to his son’s plagiarism accusation by saying of Obama, “No grace.”

  • The Pentagon is “taking notes” on the use of electronic warfare (EW) by Russia and Ukraine, US military commander Josh Kozlov has said, the outlet Defense News reported on Wednesday. The comments from the leader of the US Army’s 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing, who was speaking at the Air, Space, and Cyber Conference in Maryland, were of significance given ongoing tensions between the US and China, the outlet reported. Kozlov’s unit was created two years ago to spearhead US attempts to catch up in advanced electronic warfare. Military expert organizations such as the British Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) cite Russian EW capabilities as one of the key reasons Ukrainian forces have failed to make any tangible progress during the three months of its summer counteroffensive.

  • The US Consulate General in Krakow is soliciting Polish outlets to write about Ukrainian refugees “returning and rebuilding,” it emerged on Wednesday. Washington is offering $50,000 for the year-long project. The project “to promote coverage in Poland by local and regional media representatives of stories in Ukraine” was first spotted by a Telegram channel based in Belarus. It can be found at the website of the US embassy in Poland, under the designation WAW-NOFO-FY23-05. According to the post, the goal is to “promote in-depth reporting by local and regional Polish media of the return of Ukrainian families from Poland to Ukraine and their social and physical rebuilding efforts, particularly those built on partnerships between Poles and Ukrainians.” The articles should fuel “public understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by Ukrainians” as well as interest in Ukrainian “efforts to return and rebuild” and the “enduring impact of support provided by Polish society to Ukrainian refugees.”

  • Sceptics were quick to rubbish the claims, and Lt Ryan Graves of the US Navy, who participated in the US Congress hearings about “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAP), tweeted: “After the U.S. Congressional UFO hearing, I accepted an invitation to testify before the Mexican Congress hoping to keep up the momentum of government interest in pilot experiences with UAP. “Unfortunately, yesterday’s demonstration was a huge step backwards for this issue. My testimony centered on sharing my experience and the UAP reports I hear from commercial and military aircrew through ASA’s [Americans for Safe Aerospace] witness program. “I will continue to raise awareness of UAP as an urgent matter of aerospace safety, national security, and science, but I am deeply disappointed by this unsubstantiated stunt.” Dr Benitez, of the Scientific Institute for Health of the Mexican Navy, said X-rays, 3D reconstruction and DNA analysis had been carried out. “I can affirm that these bodies have no relation to human beings,” he claimed.

  • @awakenedspecies – Mexico’s Congress just unveiled two dead aliens which they estimate to be around 1000 years old. Apparently the story is these diminutive mummified remains, retrieved from Cusco, Peru, are believed to be a thousand years old and were showcased in windowed boxes. Scientists collaborated on this event, and Maussan, speaking under oath, presented his findings to Mexican government members and US officials. He stated that the non-human specimens had recently undergone examination at the Autonomous National University of Mexico, yielding DNA evidence through radiocarbon dating. Now, I know that aliens are real because they’re already invading Texas borders, but out of all the places in the world how fitting that aliens would be in Mexico while looking like ET’s long lost concrete cousin. How dare they expect us to just believe any of this is real without explaining and apologizing for the systematic destruction of public trust due to corruption and globalist collusion against humanity. I wouldn’t even give this stuff a second thought unless we see real research on these, a real thorough analysis by independent researchers but that’s never going to happen. Thank you for your time, Stay vigilant. ~ Niko

  • The scientific community has found itself dealing with a bit of controversy after a Virgin Galactic mission, facilitated by South African-born billionaire Timothy Nash, carried fragments of ancient human ancestor remains on a voyage to the edge of space. These remains – a collarbone of 2-million-year-old A. sediba and a thumb bone from H. naledi -were selected by Lee Berger, an explorer instrumental in their discovery and a director of the Centre for the Exploration of the Deep Human Journey at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. “The journey of these fossils into space represents humankind’s appreciation of the contribution of all of humanity’s ancestors… Without their invention of technologies such as fire and tools… their contribution to the evolution of the… human mind, such extraordinary endeavors as spaceflight would not have happened,” Berger said.

  • Fast-forward five years, and the Russian president has again mentioned work on mysterious new arms based on “new physical principles.” “If one looks into the security sphere, weapons based on new physical principles will ensure the security of any country in the near historical perspective. We understand this very well and are working on it,” Putin said in a wide-ranging speech at the Eastern Economic Forum on Tuesday. Putin did not elaborate, leaving media and military observers scrambling in a search for more information. The Russian Defense Ministry’s official online encyclopedia defines “weapons based on new physical principles” as “new types of arms whose destructive effect is based on processes and phenomena which have not previously been used for military purposes.”

  • For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, Comet C/2023 P1 Nishimura has just a few days left before it moves closer to the sun and will no longer be visible in the pre-dawn hours. To see it before it’s gone for the next 400 years, you’ll need to get up early, before the sun rises. Look to the east-southeast in the hour or so before dawn and find the Leo constellation; the comet will be making its way down the Lion’s tail this week but by Sept. 16 will be rising along with the sun.

  • The thick, acid-rich clouds of Venus continue to shroud the planet next door in mystery. Lightning on Venus means Earth’s cosmic neighbor would join the rare planetary club whose current members — Earth, Jupiter and Saturn — host lightning bolts in their clouds. Such flickers of light would also be unique on the world in that they’d exist despite Venus’ clouds lacking water, a substance considered key in creating electrical charges.

News Burst 15 September 2023 - Peruvian Hairless Dogs

Peruvian Hairless Dogs

Peruvian Hairless Dogs are an ancient breed whose image is recognizable on pre-Incan pottery. They have been termed as ‘primitive dogs,’ because they have remained unchanged for over 3,500 years. Their untampered nature throughout centuries means they have a truly authentic and pure lineage, giving them the status of living relics of history. Recently, these dogs have been accorded the prestigious distinction of being declared national patrimony in Peru, elevating their importance to the level of the historic Machu Picchu , an acknowledgment which designates them as living treasures of the nation. Despite facing numerous challenges through millennia, these primitive dogs have shown a remarkable survival instinct, managing to thrive until today with a disposition that is characterized by an affectionate nature towards humans. Through their endurance and unyielding spirit, these dogs not only represent an ancient lineage but also embody the loving relationship that has long existed between humans and dogs.
