  • AI can now outsmart you by lies and deception, researchers warn. AI systems are already skilled at deceiving and manipulating humans. New research suggests that some artificial intelligence (AI) systems have learned to deceive humans. This ability to lie was unintentional, arising as a tactic to win in specific situations. However, researchers warn that this deceptive behaviour could have unintended consequences. The study focused on AI performance in games, where some systems excelled at misleading opponents. For instance, Meta’s AI for the game Diplomacy (“CICERO”) turned out to be a master liar, forming fake alliances to gain an advantage.

  • A zoo in China has been accused of trying to deceive visitors with a pair of dogs dyed black and white to look like panda bears. Videos circulating on Chinese social media show the two “panda dogs” in an exhibit at Taizhou Zoo in the eastern province of Jiangsu that opened on May 1. Though the animals are patterned to look like pandas, which are endemic to China and an international symbol of the country, their wagging tails give them away. Zoo officials told Chinese state media that they were Chow Chows — a fluffy dog breed originally from northern China — painted black and white to resemble giant pandas, adding that they had clearly advertised them as “panda dogs” and did not make any false claims.

  • Consumer-grade spyware apps are frequently sold under the guise of child monitoring or family-tracking software, but are referred to as “stalkerware” and “spouseware” for their ability to also track and monitor partners or spouses without their consent. These spyware apps are downloaded from outside of Google Play’s app store, planted on a phone without a person’s permission and often disappear from the home screen to avoid detection.Using Find My Device to track or stalk individuals without their consent may be a crime punishable by law. Compatible trackers can show potential victims a redacted version of your Google Account email address. Law enforcement may also request additional identifying information to support their investigation.

  • There are about 30 currently known pyramids in China, which are not excavated. Supposedly, Chinese government doesn’t want to risk destroying what’s in there just to satisfy peoples curiosity, and are waiting for more advanced technology. In my opinion, this peserving is pointless, priorities should be reversed. The pyramids preserved whats in there so that one day people can benefit from the knowledge. Chinese government will hide anything “not China” that is found IN China. I say these prove that modern Chinese were NOT the first people in the area. Niko @awakenedspecies

  • The first man to receive a genetically modified pig kidney transplant has died two months after the operation, the hospital which carried out the procedure has said. Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in the United States said on Sunday there was no indication his death was a result of the transplant. Richard ‘Rick’ Slayman (62) had end-stage kidney disease before undergoing the transplant operation in March. Transplants of other organs from genetically modified pigs have failed in the past, but the operation on Slayman was hailed as a historic milestone.

  • The real message is one of aggression, not attention. Marxist activists are saying that western culture, not oil, is their enemy. And, if they don’t get what they want they will continue to try to smash our greatest works of art and historic documents as a means to tear the west down piece by piece. When protesters declare the Magna Carta fair game it’s not a random decision; they know exactly what they are doing. In this situation, two gullible elderly women were obviously given a task they were not able to complete: Rev. Sue Parfitt, 82, and Judy Bruce, 85, a retired biology teacher, were both arrested after they tried to smash a glass case containing the historical document at the British Library in London on Friday, London’s Metropolitan Police said. The Magna Carta is a revered 13th Century treaty that held English royalty to the same legal standards as the citizenry. ~ Tyler Durden

  • Australia’s national carrier Qantas, and its subsidiary Jetstar, have been the target of public ire in recent years, and some fed-up travellers are even finding innovative ways to fight back. An enterprising young lawyer thinks he’s found a loophole to gouge Jetstar and is now locked in a bizarre legal battle with the airline. Kiwi lawyer Tyrone Barugh booked 58 flights between Sydney and Auckland in hopes of taking advantage of a loophole in a ‘return for free’ promotion put on by Jetstar New Zealand. He booked a promotional flight from Auckland to Sydney before then cancelling the outbound flight and receiving a credit from Jetstar. He then used the credit to book a Sydney to Auckland trip and again cancel the outbound trip. As a result he was left with two flights which he had paid $0 for. He then reportedly decided to rinse and repeat the process some 57 times. Barugh, who runs a small Kiwi-based law firm and is also admitted to practice law in New South Wales according to the firm’s website, has now become a thorn in Jetstar’s side.

  • Eurovision fans were left in shock as Ireland’s act Bambie Thug made it through to the final on Saturday night. Thug – who is a non-binary artist from County Cork – performed Doomsday Blue in Malmo, Sweden. But the nature of the routine upset viewers watching at home, with many drawing comparisons to satanic rituals. Thug has previously described their music as “Ouija pop” and self-described “queer, Ouija popstar”. Following performances from Estonia, Spain, Lithuania, Isreal and more, the theatrical display was compared to an exorcism. Israel’s contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 has been placed on Ukraine’s notorious Mirotvorets website. The website, reportedly run by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, lists enemies of the state and marks them as “liquidated” in the event of their death.

  • Just when we thought we’d seen the most powerful flares from a colossal sunspot, the sun unleashed its strongest eruption of the weekend yet, triggering a radio blackout even as the star continues to crackle with solar storms. According to NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC), the dynamic solar flare occurred late Saturday (May 10) from an active sunspot region called AR3664. It peaked at 9:23 p.m. EDT (0123 May 11 GMT), registering as a massive X5.8 class flare, SWPC officials said. As a result, parts of some of the Earth’s sunlit side had temporary or complete loss of high frequency (HF) radio signals. The sun, proving that it wasn’t done yet, also fired off a powerful X1.5 solar flare at 7:44 a.m. EDT (1144 GMT), NASA officials said. X-class flares are the strongest types of solar eruptions from the sun, and while flares can last anywhere from a few minutes to hours, to get these high magnitudes aren’t as common. Yet, the sun has fired off a series of powerful flares this week that have supercharged Earth’s northern lights displays.

Camera Kirlian

The Kirlian photography, which studies can be traced back to the late 1700s, was officially invented in 1939 by Semyon Kirlian. The Kirlian photographic process reveals visible “aura” or “life-force” around the objects which have been photographed. Semyon developed a machine for Kirlian photography. This machine was using a high-frequency oscillator that operated at roughly 75 kHz. This machine became popular among scientists because images produced by this machine captured the aura of living entities. Semyon made many photographs of the leaves of various plants via this process. This type of photography could even detect diseases that weren’t otherwise detectable.

Siberia & Ural Lines

Siberia is a place that is difficult to explore which is also a reason why the outside world has not heard anything about these astonishing megaliths until now. The region has populated by various tribes since ancient times, as far back as the Mesolithic age.
Hidden deep in the Ural Mountains are thousands of years old giant lines that are only visible from space. Who created them and for what purpose remains unknown. Researchers estimate that this ancient giant figure is much older than the Nazca Lines of Peru.
